About us

Vines support services provides semi-independent living accommodation for young people aged 16+. The organisation welcomes young people who may have been subjected to criminal and sexual exploitation, involved in gangs, engaged in substance misuse, displayed persistent offending behaviour, known history of being a missing person, minors and at risk of being involved with radicalisation. We also accept unaccompanied minors. This list is not exhaustive and prior to agreeing any placements a thorough risk assessment is carried out to establish whether or not the placement will appropriate to meet the needs of the young person. We aim to safeguard the young people in our care and help them to develop a positive self-view also encouraging them to make a positive contribution within the home and in the local community. Young people will receive personalised support based on their diverse needs. Each young person will be consulted on all aspects of their needs and where possible their views and opinions will be acted upon. When they cannot be, they will be assisted to understand why. This will include consulting individuals on their own level of perceived risk and protective factors to establish a level of support required. A continual effort will be made to support independence as much as practically possible. The views and opinions of other professionals, family members and wider stakeholders will also be consulted on all aspects of care to ensure there is a holistic approach and understanding that will in turn lead to greater outcomes.
